Baaz

Pyrazosulfuron Ethyl 10% WP

Baaz (Pyrazosulfuron-ethyl 10% WP) is a selective, systemic herbicide belonging to the sulfonylurea family, primarily used to control broadleaf weeds and sedges in rice fields. Operating as an acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor, it disrupts essential amino acid synthesis, causing fast cessation of growth and death in weeds. Commonly formulated as a 10% Wettable Powder (WP) or 70% WDG, it is applied as a pre-emergence or early post-emergence herbicide. It is highly effective against sedges and broadleaf weeds. Its systemic action allows it to be absorbed by roots and leaves, preventing root and shoot development. It is used 0-7 days after transplanting (early post-emergence).
